Solution Interviews
In December 2025 and January 2026 we conducted qualitative solution interviews with medical practices. We showed our prototype to doctors and interviewed them about how fitting our solution is for them.
Although we are developing an online appointment booking system using medical practices as an example, we aim to create a universally applicable tool.
How were the Interviews Conducted?
Section titled “How were the Interviews Conducted?”We conducted structured interviews with interested practices. In approximately 30-minute conversations, we introduced our product and asked for feedback and how doctors could implement our solution into their practice.
Some interesting notes on demographics
Section titled “Some interesting notes on demographics”We asked for a few demographics,
- almost everyone uses Windows (no surprise here)
- most had more than about 100 appointments per week
- some had high tripple digit number of appointments per week (they usually also had mutiple doctors)
- some offer up to 30 different appointment types
Findings
Section titled “Findings”This is the list of most relevant findings from our solution interviews:
- Doctors want to know why a patient is coming before they show up. Sometimes even before patients get an appointment.
- Doctors need to prevent false bookings (petients that don’t need that specific appointment).
- Doctors fear spam appointments that will block their calendar for patients actually needing their attention.
- Doctors want control over their schedule and booked appointments.
- Not only doctors need to be available. Also medical staff, rooms and applicanes need to be available for an appointment to happen.
- If paitents cancel their appointment they may fall out their regular check-up timeline. Doctors want to know when this happens, so they don’t loose sight of their patients.
- Doctors decide together with their staff on what tools to use.
Participating practices
Section titled “Participating practices”Thank you to all doctors who participated in this interview series! Roughly two dozen doctors participated, and gave us valuable feedback on our current implementation.
We interviewed General Practitioners, Dentists, Eye Doctors, Radiologist, Sleep Medicine Specialist, Nuclear Medicine Specialists and Psychotherapists. Some of the doctors allowed us to thank them publically, these where:
